I've had a long career as a music maker, working as a recording artist, composer, session musician, record producer, live and touring musician,and artist mentor.

Now I'm back where I started working as a solo recording artist while also exploring other mediums as you can see in the headings above..

I recorded this back in 1996!

At that time I was influenced by bands like portishead and Massive Attack and its quite obvious to me now as I listen to it 26 years later.

Finally released this year IROM MAN is the first single from the album CODA 1 by STILL LIFE TEMPLE an album I recorded way back in 1996!.

The video you see here marked the start of my interest in film making and my first experimental foray into video editing including the Coda 'ident' at the start of the video. As you will see most of the footage was borrowed from Fritz Lang Metropolis movie made in 1927 with the addition of some stuning and contemporay 3D fractal animations courtesey of Arthur Stammet

THE FEAR ENGINE is a 'concept' album reminisant of Pink Floyd and other 'progressive' bands of the 70's. It has 10 songs each one posing a question about our nature with the overall aim of asking what is preventing us from achieveing a more harmonious and trusing world.

Its my first solo album and took many years to finish as it was always on the back burner while I was busy producing records for other artists. I have partnered it with an unusual 'sibling' which comes in the form of a feature documentary film that I made with the same name. Follow this link to see more about THE FEAR ENGINE PROJECT

In the summer of 2019 I was in Spain recording this album STARDUST & WATER with my old mate and 'band brother', Kevin Weatherill. We co founded IMMACULATE FOOLS the band back in 1981. After 4 albums and many years on the road I quit the band. Some 35 years later Kevin asked me to produce this current album. Here are some clips from it.

THE FEAR ENGINE ( Documentary)

THE FEAR ENGINE is a feature documentary that asks the question what is preventing us from achieveing a more harmonious and trusing world, with the implication that fear is at the root of our shortcomings.

The film asks a variety of contrasting individuals a sequence of 10 simple but probing questions about the nature of human behaviour and how we might make the world a better place. Interwoven between the interviews is the journey of a fictional 'suited man' walking from city to wilderness searching for meaning where he confronts the fear engine, a metaphor for the driver of his unconscious fears....

Here is a selection of work made by the talented young singer writer producer Charlie Tait under the name Cambio sun. I mentored and worked on the finishing details and mixing, but the production is Charlie's work. A quater of a million hits on soundcloud and counting

Over the years I have worked very closely with Martin Grech the singer whose voice you hear here. I first heard his extraordinary voice when he was only 15years old. 3 albums and many years later we are working together once more covering and honoring some classic songs by artists we both admire. These examples are work in progress, and we have yet to complete the works.
